Day-to-Day Duties
As a PRT Social Science Teacher, you will be expected to perform the following duties:
- Prepare and deliver Social Science lessons to students of different age groups.
- Develop and implement curriculum for Social Science classes.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback.
- Maintain student records and attendance.
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to school activities.
- Assist in extracurricular activities related to Social Science.
- Conduct research and gather resources for Social Science classes.
- Collaborate with other teachers to develop interdisciplinary projects.
- Maintain discipline in the classroom and ensure student safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the school administration.
Required Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree in Social Science or a related field. TET/CTET certification is preferred but not mandatory.
Preferred Skills
The successful candidate should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage students and foster a love for Social Science learning. Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds is an added advantage.
Salary and Benefits
