About This Role
As a TGT Sanskrit Teacher at Gorakhpur Public School, you will be responsible for teaching Sanskrit to students of classes 9-12. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Sanskrit literature, language, and history, and be able to communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
What You Will Do
1. Teach Sanskrit to students of classes 9-12
2. Develop and implement lesson plans to achieve curriculum goals
3. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
4. Conduct parent-teacher meetings to discuss student performance
5. Participate in staff meetings to discuss school policies and procedures
6. Collaborate with other teachers to plan and implement interdisciplinary projects
7. Conduct extracurricular activities related to Sanskrit, such as language clubs and competitions
8. Participate in school events, such as cultural festivals and academic competitions
9. Keep records of student attendance and performance
Required Qualifications
Must Have:
- B.Ed. or D.El.Ed. degree
- Postgraduate degree in Sanskrit (M.A. or M.Sc.)
- TGT Sanskrit Teacher Vacancy in Gorakhpur preferred, but not required
- 2 years of teaching experience in a school setting
Good to Have:
- CTET or TET certification
- Experience teaching Sanskrit to students of classes 9-12
Preferred Skills
- Strong knowledge of Sanskrit literature, language, and history
- Ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner
- Experience with curriculum development and implementation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to use technology to enhance teaching and learning
