Key Responsibilities
Plan and conduct daily badminton training sessions for students of all grades, focusing on skill development, fitness, and game tactics.
Organize inter‑school tournaments, intra‑school leagues and coordinate participation in district level competitions.
Maintain equipment inventory, ensure racquets, shuttlecocks and nets are in good condition, and arrange for timely repairs or replacements.
Monitor student progress, keep detailed performance records and provide feedback to students and parents during regular meetings.
Collaborate with school administration to schedule practice timings that align with academic timetables and other co‑curricular activities.
Promote a safe playing environment by enforcing safety guidelines, supervising warm‑up and cool‑down routines, and addressing any injuries promptly.
Lead workshops and demonstration sessions during school sports days and cultural events to encourage wider student participation.
Qualifications
Graduate degree in any discipline. B.Ed or D.El.Ed not required for this coaching role, but a background in sports education is advantageous.
TET/CTET certification is preferred but not mandatory.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of badminton rules, techniques and training methodologies.
Excellent communication skills to interact with students, parents and school staff.
Ability to motivate young athletes and manage a diverse group effectively.
Organizational skills for planning events and maintaining equipment logs.
