JOB DESCRIPTION: SPECIAL EDUCATOR (NON-TEACHING SPECIALIST)
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Special Educator will oversee the learning development of a dedicated caseload of 10 to 12 students across primary and secondary levels. In the resource center, the school maintains a student-to-teacher ratio of 1:4 for intensive intervention sessions. During inclusive support hours in general classrooms, you will operate within a class size of 20 to 24 students. This is a specialist position focused on remedial support, behavioral intervention, and curriculum modification rather than general classroom instruction.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS (MEASURABLE OUTCOMES)
Finalize 100 percent of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) within the first 21 days of the academic session. Ensure that 80 percent of students on the caseload achieve at least 3 out of 5 primary goals set in their semesterly IEP. Maintain a 100 percent completion rate for monthly progress reports, ensuring they are shared with parents and school leadership by the 5th of every month. Reduce behavioral incidents in the classroom by 15 percent year-over-year through the implementation of positive behavior support plans.
RESOURCES AVAILABLE
The school provides a dedicated therapy room equipped with sensory integration tools and standardized diagnostic kits. Candidates must hold a Post-Graduate degree in Special Education (M.Ed.) or a Masters in Psychology with a specialization in learning disabilities. A minimum of 2 years of clinical or school-based experience is required. A valid RCI (Rehabilitation Council of India) registration is mandatory. TET certification is not required for this specialist role. Access to international professional development platforms and specialized software for tracking student milestones is provided.

KPI 1: Achieve a 90 percent or higher attendance rate for scheduled one-on-one intervention sessions.
KPI 2: Maintain a parent satisfaction rating of 4.2 out of 5.0 based on the school biannual feedback cycle.
KPI 3: Conduct four faculty training sessions per year focused on differentiated instruction and classroom inclusion.
KPI 4: Update 100 percent of student digital portfolios weekly with qualitative and quantitative data points.

SALARY AND COMPENSATION
The annual gross salary for this position ranges from 5,00,000 INR to 6,50,000 INR (approximately 41,000 to 54,000 INR per month) based on expertise and interview performance.
