Qualification
Candidate must hold a Ph.D. in a relevant discipline as per UGC norms. Candidates with a completed NET/SLET qualification and an M.Phil are also eligible provided they have at least four years of post‑doctoral research or academic administration experience. A minimum of a master’s degree in the chosen field is mandatory, and the applicant should have a proven record of scholarly publications and participation in research projects.
Responsibilities
The Assistant Professor will support the university’s academic governance by contributing to curriculum design, assessment frameworks, and accreditation processes. Responsibilities include coordinating departmental research initiatives, managing research grants, and facilitating collaborations with industry and other academic institutions.
The role requires preparation of periodic academic reports, analysis of performance metrics, and assistance in policy formulation for faculty development. The incumbent will mentor junior faculty and research scholars, oversee the execution of seminars, workshops, and conferences, and ensure compliance with UGC guidelines.
Additional duties involve participating in university committees, handling administrative documentation, and contributing to the strategic planning of the institution’s academic and research agenda.
Salary
Rs.30,000 - Rs.40,000 per month.
