Prepare weekly usage reports for the principal, highlighting fast-moving items and flagging any shortages before they affect practicals.
Organize monthly safety drills for students and staff, maintain the first-aid cabinet, and file incident reports in triplicate as per CBSE norms.
Coordinate with external vendors for calibration of sensitive equipment; ensure calibration certificates are pasted on the apparatus before each session.
Train new lab attendants on chemical handling, glassware storage, and disposal protocols aligned with CPCB guidelines.
Oversee the cleaning schedule of microscopes, balances, and fume hoods; document maintenance logs in the lab register.
Attend staff meetings in the morning assembly area to brief teachers on lab availability and any temporary restrictions.
Handle parent queries about lab timings or equipment access during PTMs, explaining policies in simple Hindi mixed with school English.
