About This Role
S R Global School is inviting applications for the position of LIBRARIAN in Lucknow. This LIBRARIAN Vacancy in Lucknow is for a full-time role requiring at least 2 years of experience. The LIBRARIAN Position in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh will handle library administration and leadership duties.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage daily library operations including book circulation, cataloging, and maintenance.
2. Ensure all academic and reference resources are properly organized and accessible.
3. Assist students and staff in locating required books, journals, and digital resources.
4. Maintain accurate records of issued books, returns, and overdue items.
5. Coordinate with vendors for timely procurement of new books and periodicals.
6. Organize reading programs and library events to encourage student participation.
7. Supervise library staff and maintain discipline within the library premises.
8. Prepare reports on library usage, acquisitions, and expenditure for management review.
Required Qualifications
Graduation in any discipline is mandatory. Diploma or certificate in Library Science is preferred. Proficiency in basic computer applications like MS Office and library management software is essential. Experience in a school library setup will be an added advantage.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with Dewey Decimal Classification and cataloging standards is desirable. Strong organizational and communication skills are necessary. Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Perks and Pay
The selected candidate will receive a monthly salary ranging from Rs.20,000 to Rs.35,000 based on qualifications and experience. Benefits include PF, gratuity, and school holidays as per government norms.
