Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate attendance records and provide timely feedback to students on their progress.
Experience & Research
Candidates must have a minimum of four years of teaching experience in a higher‑education setting, preferably in a biology discipline. A demonstrated research track record is essential; publication of peer‑reviewed articles, conference presentations, or ongoing research projects will be highly regarded. The ability to secure external funding or collaborate with research institutions is an added advantage.
Leadership & Supervision
As a senior faculty member, the PGT will lead the biology department’s academic initiatives. Responsibilities include coordinating curriculum development, mentoring junior faculty, and overseeing the implementation of new teaching methodologies. The role requires active participation in departmental meetings, contributing to strategic planning, and ensuring that research and teaching activities meet institutional standards.
Qualifications
A master’s degree in Biology or a related field with a minimum of 55% marks is mandatory. NET/SET qualification is required for an Assistant Professor level; however, for this PGT position, a post‑graduate degree coupled with substantial teaching experience suffices. Preference will be given to candidates holding a Ph.D. or M.Phil., with evidence of research excellence.
Compensation
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary ranging from Rs.40,000 to Rs.50,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
