Job Description
Teaching Responsibilities
The PGT – Business Studies will conduct undergraduate lectures and tutorials for Business Studies courses at Shri Jai Narain Misra Post Graduate College, Sadar, Lucknow. Responsibilities include preparing lecture notes, designing assessments, guiding classroom discussions, and mentoring students on academic and career matters. The faculty member must maintain attendance records, evaluate student performance fairly, and contribute to curriculum updates as per university guidelines.
Research Expectations
The incumbent is expected to develop a personal research agenda aligned with Business Studies and contribute to the college’s scholarly environment. Duties involve designing research projects, seeking appropriate ethical clearances, and presenting findings at departmental seminars or academic conferences. Collaboration with fellow faculty on interdisciplinary studies is encouraged, while maintaining adherence to the college’s research policies.
Publication Expectations
Faculty must aim to publish research outcomes in recognized national or international journals indexed by Scopus, Web of Science, or reputable Indian academic portals. At least one peer‑reviewed article per academic year is desirable, with additional conference papers or book chapters considered valuable. Publications should reflect rigorous methodology and add to the body of knowledge in Business Studies.
Qualification
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Business Studies, Commerce, Management or a related discipline with a minimum of 55% marks. A NET/SET qualification is mandatory, and a Ph.D. is preferred. The role requires a minimum of four years of teaching experience at the college level. Salary offered is Rs.40,000 - Rs.50,000 per month on a full‑time basis.
