Skd Academy invites applications for the PGT Economics Teacher Vacancy in Lucknow for a full-time position. The role involves teaching Economics to senior secondary students preparing for board examinations. You will guide students through micro and macroeconomic theories, case studies, and data interpretation exercises. The position also includes mentoring students for competitive exams and career guidance in commerce streams.
How You Will Teach
Economics lessons at Skd Academy include practical demonstrations of demand-supply curves, GDP calculations, and fiscal policy simulations. Students analyze real-world data from RBI reports, NITI Aayog publications, and local market trends in Lucknow. Interactive sessions with charts, graphs, and current affairs discussions make complex concepts accessible. Regular assignments and monthly assessments ensure concept clarity.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare weekly lesson plans aligned with UP Board and CBSE Economics syllabi for senior secondary classes. Conduct doubt-clearing sessions and revision classes before board exams. Organize quarterly inter-house quizzes and seminars on economic policies affecting Uttar Pradesh. Guide students in selecting Economics as an optional subject for competitive exams like CA, CS, and UPSC. Collaborate with commerce department teachers to integrate Economics with Accountancy and Business Studies. Monitor student performance through unit tests, projects, and viva voce. Maintain academic records and provide progress reports to parents during PTMs. Support Skd Academy’s initiatives in promoting financial literacy among students.
Who Can Apply
Postgraduate degree in Economics with minimum 50% marks from a recognized university. B.Ed or M.Ed degree in relevant specialization. Preference for candidates with NET/SET qualification or M.A./M.Sc in Economics. Prior teaching experience in senior secondary Economics is preferred. Familiarity with UP Board and CBSE curriculum frameworks is an advantage.
Preferred Skills
Strong command over economic theories, models, and real-world applications. Ability to simplify complex concepts like inflation, monetary policy, and market structures. Experience in using digital tools for teaching—spreadsheets, presentation software, and online quizzes. Good communication skills in Hindi and English to interact with students and parents. Familiarity with classroom management techniques for large groups in Lucknow’s urban school environment.
