Job Overview
Skd Academy in Lucknow is looking for a Post Graduate Teacher in English to shape the language skills and critical thinking of students preparing for board exams. The role involves guiding students through advanced English literature, grammar, and writing while aligning with CBSE/ICSE standards. Your Students
You will teach students in Grades 11 and 12 who come from diverse backgrounds across Lucknow. Many are aiming for competitive exams, university admissions, or careers requiring strong communication skills. Your role includes mentoring students in essay writing, poetry analysis, and effective speaking for interviews and presentations.
What You Will Do
Prepare and deliver daily English lessons for Classes 11 and 12, covering prose, poetry, grammar, and composition as per the prescribed syllabus.
Conduct regular assessments, mock tests, and board exam practice sessions to track progress and improve student outcomes.
Design engaging activities like debates, group discussions, and creative writing exercises to enhance language proficiency.
Provide personalized feedback on student assignments and projects to strengthen their analytical and expressive abilities.
Collaborate with other teachers to integrate English skills across subjects and support interdisciplinary learning.
Guide students on exam strategies, time management, and language improvement for entrance tests like CUET or state-level exams.
Participate in parent-teacher meetings and academic reviews to discuss student progress and address learning needs.
Who Can Apply
You must hold a postgraduate degree in English with at least 50% marks from a recognized university. A B.Ed or M.Ed degree is mandatory for this PGT English Teacher position.
Candidates with prior teaching experience of at least 2 years in senior secondary English are preferred.
Preferred Skills
Strong command over English literature, grammar, and writing styles with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
Experience in teaching board exam-oriented syllabus and conducting exam-focused training sessions.
Familiarity with CBSE/ICSE curriculum and assessment patterns is an advantage.
