PGT Geography Teacher Job in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh
Role Summary
Skd Academy in Lucknow is looking for a PGT Geography Teacher to shape the understanding of geography for students preparing for board exams and competitive entrance tests. Your lessons will help students connect classroom concepts with real-world issues across Uttar Pradesh and beyond. The role involves delivering advanced geography content, guiding students toward academic excellence, and contributing to the school’s reputation in the city.

They expect a teacher who can explain physical, human, and environmental geography with clarity and confidence. Your role includes mentoring students during exam preparation and career counselling in geography-related fields.
Day-to-Day Duties
Teach senior secondary geography classes with focus on CBSE/ICSE syllabus and board exam patterns. Prepare and deliver lessons on world geography, Indian geography, maps, and regional development topics. Conduct regular assessments, mock tests, and practice sessions to improve student performance.
Create practical assignments, projects, and field-based learning activities relevant to Lucknow and Uttar Pradesh. Use local case studies such as river systems, urban growth, and agricultural patterns to enhance understanding. Organize quiz competitions and geography fairs to engage students beyond textbooks.
Guide students in selecting higher education options in geography, environmental science, or civil services. Provide individual support for weaker students to improve their scores in board exams. Collaborate with subject teachers to align teaching methods with school academic goals.
Who Can Apply
Postgraduate in Geography with minimum 55% marks from a recognized university. B.Ed degree from a NCTE-approved institution. At least 1 year of teaching experience in Geography at senior secondary level. Familiarity with CBSE/ICSE curriculum and board exam trends preferred.
