PGT History Teacher Job in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh
About This Role
Skd Academy, Gomti Nagar invites applications for a PGT History Teacher to shape senior secondary students’ understanding of history with depth and clarity. The role focuses on delivering advanced history lessons for classes XI and XII, preparing students for board examinations with structured content delivery. You will guide students through historical analysis, source-based questions, and project work aligned with CBSE curriculum expectations.
How You Will Teach
Lessons will blend traditional lectures with interactive discussions on medieval, modern, and world history themes. Use maps, timelines, and primary sources to make events tangible for students preparing for board exams. Organize periodic quiz sessions and model answer reviews to strengthen analytical writing skills in history exams.
What You Will Do
Design and update lesson plans for XI and XII History covering Ancient, Medieval, and Modern India along with World History segments.
Conduct weekly tests and provide detailed feedback to help students improve map work, answer writing, and time management during exams.
Prepare students for board exams by focusing on previous years’ question papers and board sample papers.
Organize inter-house debates on historical topics to encourage critical thinking and public speaking among students.
Mentor students appearing for competitive exams by linking history concepts with general awareness and current affairs.
Coordinate with the department to align internal assessments with CBSE evaluation patterns.
Guide students in creating history project files and presentations for internal assessments.
Collaborate with senior teachers at Skd Academy, Gomti Nagar to refine assessment strategies and share best teaching practices.
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in History with minimum 55% marks from a recognized university.
B.Ed or M.Ed degree in Social Science specialization.
Preference for candidates with NET/SET qualifications in History.
Experience teaching History at the senior secondary level in CBSE-affiliated schools preferred.
Preferred Skills
Strong command over medieval and modern Indian history, including Mughal, colonial, and post-independence periods.
Ability to teach World History with focus on World Wars, Cold War, and decolonization.
Skill in using primary sources, maps, and analytical writing techniques for board exam preparation.
Experience in conducting source-based questions workshops and answer writing drills.
Familiarity with CBSE marking schemes and internal assessment formats.
Salary and Benefits
Fixed monthly salary of Rs.40,000 to Rs.60,000 based on experience and qualifications.
