Role Summary
The City Montessori School invites applications for a full-time Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) position in History for our institutions in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching History to students from Class 6 to 12. The ideal candidate should have a passion for teaching and a strong understanding of History.
Day-to-Day Duties
1. Plan and deliver History lessons to students from Class 6 to 12.
2. Prepare and administer assessments to evaluate student progress.
3. Create and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
4. Develop and implement engaging History curricula.
5. Provide individualized attention and support to students.
6. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve teaching methods.
7. Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
8. Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities.
9. Supervise students during extracurricular activities.
Eligibility Criteria
Must Have:
- Post Graduate Degree in History or equivalent from a recognized University.
- B.Ed./D.El.Ed. with a valid CTET/TET certificate (Preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a full-time History teacher.
Good to Have:
- Experience in teaching History to students from Class 6 to 12.
- Knowledge of History curricula and assessments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
