Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Develop and review syllabus-aligned assessment papers, including objective and subjective questions, to evaluate student understanding. Collaborate with the subject coordinator to integrate political science concepts into interdisciplinary projects and extracurricular activities. Attend regular faculty meetings to discuss curriculum improvements and teaching strategies. Maintain detailed records of student performance, attendance, and behavioral observations for administrative review.
Periodic Responsibilities
Participate in school-wide workshops or training sessions focused on pedagogical best practices in Political Science teaching. Organize guest lectures or guest speaker sessions with local scholars or politicians to provide real-world insights to students. Review and update teaching resources, textbooks, and supplementary materials to ensure they reflect current academic standards and relevance.
Qualifications and Experience
A postgraduate degree in Political Science or a related discipline with at least four years of teaching experience is mandatory. Possession of a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is essential for this role. While not mandatory, a TET/CTET certificate will be considered an advantage. Strong communication skills, a passion for political education, and a commitment to fostering critical thinking are key requirements.
