Delhi Public School | Lucknow invites an experienced PGT Zoology Teacher to join its esteemed faculty. This role involves shaping young minds with a deep understanding of biological sciences, ensuring students grasp the intricacies of animal diversity, ecology, and evolutionary biology. Daily Responsibilities
Plan and conduct engaging classroom sessions covering core Zoology topics like taxonomy, physiology, and environmental biology. Prepare detailed lesson plans aligned with the CBSE curriculum, ensuring interactive and hands-on learning experiences. Maintain a structured schedule for theory lectures, practical demonstrations, and field-based studies relevant to Lucknow’s biodiversity. Collaborate with students to foster critical thinking through discussions and experiments.
Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Develop and update syllabus-based assessment tools, including quizzes, projects, and lab work, to evaluate students’ understanding of Zoology concepts. Act as a mentor to junior teachers, sharing best practices in teaching biological sciences. Organize extracurricular activities such as science fairs, workshops, or guest lectures by local researchers to enrich students’ knowledge. Ensure compliance with Delhi Public School | Lucknow’s policies on curriculum adherence and student progress tracking.
Periodic Responsibilities
Participate in term-end examinations, including practicals and theory tests, to evaluate students’ performance in Zoology. Conduct regular parent-teacher meetings to discuss student progress, strengths, and areas needing improvement. Collaborate with the science department to integrate interdisciplinary learning, such as connecting Zoology with environmental studies or social sciences.
Qualification and Experience
Hold a postgraduate degree in Zoology with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. Minimum four years of teaching experience, preferably in high school or equivalent, is essential. Experience in designing curriculum-based assessments and mentoring students is highly valued. Familiarity with CBSE guidelines and modern teaching methodologies is a must.
Salary and Location
