Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver undergraduate Computer Science lectures, tutorials and practical sessions in accordance with the college curriculum.
Prepare clear, concise teaching material, assignments and assessment tools that reflect current industry standards.
Guide students in programming labs, project work and software development exercises, ensuring hands‑on learning.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades and student progress, and submit regular reports to the Head of Department.
Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum reviews and faculty development programmes to keep the syllabus up‑to‑date.
Provide academic counselling and mentorship to students, helping them choose electives, internships and career pathways.
Assist in organising seminars, workshops and guest lectures that enhance the learning environment.
Required Qualifications
Graduate degree in Computer Science or a related discipline with at least 55 % marks.
NET/SET qualification mandatory for teaching at the assistant professor level; preferred for progression to higher academic ranks.
Ph.D. is advantageous but not mandatory.
Demonstrated ability to use modern teaching aids, learning management systems and programming tools.
Desired Skills and Attributes
Strong command of programming languages such as C, C++, Java and Python.
Ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms and engage diverse student groups.
Good communication skills in English and Hindi, both written and spoken.
Proactive approach to curriculum development and willingness to adopt innovative pedagogical methods.
