PRT French Teacher Job in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh
school_heading
Skd Academy sits on the vibrant Lucknow-Azamgarh road, where the morning buzz of students from nearby mohallas and the calm of the school courtyard create a balanced rhythm every day. Teachers here are not just educators but part of a close-knit team that plans lessons together, shares classroom challenges, and celebrates small wins like a student’s first confident sentence in French. The staff room is alive with conversations in Hindi, Awadhi, and English, and the French corner in the staff area often hosts impromptu pronunciation drills during tea breaks.
About This Role
Skd Academy is looking for a PRT French Teacher to nurture language curiosity among young learners in Grades 1 to 5. The role is designed for someone who enjoys making language learning playful, visual, and interactive rather than rigid or bookish. You will work closely with the primary team to align French lessons with the school’s storytelling and activity-based pedagogy.
Day-to-Day Duties
Plan and deliver 30-minute French sessions using songs, flashcards, and simple dialogues that build vocabulary naturally.
Create and maintain a French corner in the classroom with labels, pictures, and student-made posters.
Conduct role-plays and storytelling sessions where children act out daily situations in French.
Design age-appropriate worksheets with tracing, matching, and coloring exercises to reinforce learning.
Organize monthly “French Day” activities where students present rhymes or short dialogues to parents.
Use gestures, pictures, and repetition to help students grasp pronunciation without pressure.
Collaborate with PRT colleagues to integrate French vocabulary into general classroom themes.
Keep a simple record of student progress through participation, worksheets, and small assessments.
Eligibility
Graduation in any discipline with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed from a recognized Indian university.
Minimum 2 years of French teaching experience in primary schools or language centers.
Familiarity with primary-level language teaching methods preferred.
Prior experience with Indian school boards and classroom diversity is an advantage.
Work Culture
At Skd Academy, the French Teacher becomes part of a family-like staff where feedback flows openly and lesson ideas are shared freely. You will attend weekly subject meetings where teachers swap tips on engaging young learners, and quarterly planning sessions where French is woven into broader school themes. Parent interactions happen during PTMs and informal catch-ups, where you explain progress in simple terms without jargon.
Perks and Pay
This full-time position offers a monthly salary between Rs.12,000 and Rs.30,000 based on experience and qualifications. Skd Academy provides a supportive environment with access to basic teaching materials and occasional professional development workshops in language pedagogy. The school also covers local conveyance for official visits within Lucknow city limits.
