Job Description
PRT Music Teacher Job in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh | School Recruitment
About This Role
The City Montessori School integrates smart boards, interactive apps, and digital assessment tools across its 18 campuses in Lucknow. As a PRT Music Teacher, you will leverage these resources to make rhythm, melody, and harmony come alive for students from Class 1 to 5. Your lessons will blend traditional vocal and instrumental methods with digital pitch trainers and online sheet-music libraries.
Teaching Approach
Daily lessons are planned on Google Classroom and synced to the school’s LMS, allowing students to review recordings and sheet music at home. Smart boards display interactive music theory games and karaoke tracks, keeping young learners engaged. Blended learning projects—such as composing short melodies using tablet apps—are part of every term’s plan.
Day-to-Day Duties
Create weekly lesson plans that align with the school’s digital music curriculum and share them on the LMS for students and parents. Conduct 45-minute sessions in the music lab, using smart boards to demonstrate vocal warm-ups, tabla patterns, and keyboard notes. Record practice sessions on tablets and upload them to Google Drive folders for student self-assessment.
Integrate ear-training drills using online platforms and assign digital flashcards for note recognition. Organize bi-monthly virtual recitals where students perform via Zoom under your supervision. Maintain a digital attendance log linked to the school ERP and update progress reports in the LMS every fortnight. Collaborate with the IT team to troubleshoot audio-visual issues during lessons. Prepare students for inter-school music competitions using digital sheet-music and practice tracks.
Who Can Apply
Candidates should hold a postgraduate degree in Music along with B.Ed or D.El.Ed. A minimum of three years of classroom teaching experience in primary music is required. Prior work in a tech-enabled school environment is an advantage.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with online teaching tools such as Noteflight, Flat.io, and Soundtrap is necessary. Comfort with smart boards, Google Classroom, and basic audio editing software is expected. Digital literacy includes managing cloud storage, sharing files, and conducting online assessments.
Perks and Pay
The monthly salary ranges from Rs.20,000 to Rs.35,000 based on experience and qualifications. The City Montessori School offers subsidized meals, annual health check-ups, and professional development support. You will also receive free access to the school’s digital music resource library.

From the very start, I was struck by the sense of community that pervaded every aspect of school life. My classmates and I were encouraged to explore, to learn,...
