Job Description
PRT Science Teacher Job in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh
Role Summary
Skd Academy, Gomti Nagar believes every child in Lucknow deserves a strong foundation in science through engaging, hands-on learning. The PRT Science Teacher will create a classroom where curiosity is nurtured and no learner is left behind. You will teach foundational science concepts to students in grades 1 to 5 using simple language and local examples.
Your Students
Your students come from diverse backgrounds across Gomti Nagar with varying levels of readiness for science. Some grasp concepts quickly through visuals, while others need more time and tactile activities. Inclusive practices like peer learning and differentiated worksheets help every child participate confidently.
What You Will Do
Prepare weekly lesson plans aligned with NCERT science topics for PRT classes, using local examples like plants in the school garden or weather changes in Lucknow summers. Conduct simple experiments with everyday materials—like making a volcano with baking soda—to explain chemical reactions in an age-appropriate way.
Use storytelling to explain scientific phenomena, such as narrating the journey of a raindrop from cloud to river, and ask students to draw or describe what they learned. Create colorful worksheets with matching exercises, fill-in-the-blanks, and picture-based questions to reinforce vocabulary like “solid,” “liquid,” and “gas.”
Organize small group activities where students observe seeds sprouting or measure shadows at different times of day, recording observations in a simple notebook. Involve students in classroom demonstrations using low-cost materials like mirrors, magnets, and paper airplanes to teach light, force, and aerodynamics.
Collaborate with PRT colleagues to integrate science with other subjects, such as writing a short paragraph about a plant after a nature walk or counting seeds during math class. Communicate regularly with parents in Hindi and English, sharing their child’s progress and suggesting simple science activities to do at home.
Support students with learning difficulties by pairing them with peer mentors and using audio-visual aids to explain concepts more than once. Encourage shy students to share observations during group discussions and celebrate small achievements to build confidence in science.
Eligibility
Graduate in any discipline with B.Ed or D.El.Ed from a recognized institution. Must have passed CTET with a focus on primary science pedagogy. Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in PRT classes, preferably in Uttar Pradesh.
Skills We Value
Patience to explain concepts multiple times using different methods until every student understands. Strong communication skills in Hindi and English to interact with students, parents, and staff at Skd Academy, Gomti Nagar.
Familiarity with inclusive teaching strategies and classroom management techniques for diverse learners in Lucknow. Ability to design low-cost, practical science activities that can be done within a regular classroom setting.
What You Get
Monthly salary between Rs.15,000 and Rs.30,000 based on qualifications and experience. Additional benefits include in-service training, access to teaching resources, and a supportive work environment at Skd Academy, Gomti Nagar.
