PRT Social Science Teacher Job in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh
Role Summary
Skd Academy is looking for a PRT Social Science Teacher in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh to handle Social Science classes for students from Grade 1 to 5. The Social Science Teacher Recruitment in Uttar Pradesh at Skd Academy requires someone who can simplify history, geography and civics for young learners using local examples and classroom resources. You will plan monthly themes, prepare worksheets and organize activity corners to keep students engaged with Social Science concepts.
How You Will Teach
You will teach Social Science through storytelling about local heroes, map puzzles of Uttar Pradesh districts, and simple civics role-plays inside the classroom. Practical activities include making time-lines of Indian festivals, weather chart observations, and neighborhood surveys for civic sense. Worksheets with picture-based questions and group discussions will be used every week to reinforce learning. You will also set up a mini Social Science corner with pictures, flashcards and student-made models.
Day-to-Day Duties
Prepare monthly Social Science lesson plans aligned with Skd Academy’s primary curriculum and share them with the coordinator. Take daily attendance and maintain anecdotal records of student participation in Social Science activities. Conduct weekly worksheets and map quizzes to check understanding of basic concepts. Organize monthly activity days such as a “My State” fair or a heritage walk project. Handle parent-teacher meetings to explain student progress in Social Science subjects. Maintain a classroom Social Science corner with rotating student contributions. Assist in organizing school events that include Social Science themes like Independence Day or Earth Day. Keep teaching-learning materials updated and share feedback with the academic coordinator.
Eligibility
You must have a post-graduate degree in Social Science or related fields with a B.Ed degree from a recognized Indian university. Candidates with M.A. in History, Geography or Political Science along with D.El.Ed will be preferred. Prior experience of teaching Social Science to primary classes in Lucknow schools will be an advantage.
Preferred Skills
Strong skills in creating age-appropriate Social Science worksheets and activity kits for Grade 1 to 5. Ability to explain Uttar Pradesh’s geography and local history with simple stories and visuals. Good classroom management to handle mixed-ability groups in Social Science lessons. Comfortable with parent communication about student progress in Social Science.
