Role Summary
The Social Science Teacher will be responsible for teaching Social Science to students from Class VI to X. The successful candidate will be expected to create engaging lesson plans, conduct regular assessments, and maintain accurate records of student progress.
Pedagogy and Tools
As a Social Science Teacher at The City Montessori School, you will be expected to use practical methods and tools to make learning fun and interactive. You will be responsible for conducting experiments, creating models, and using multimedia resources to enhance the learning experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and deliver lesson plans for Social Science classes
* Conduct regular assessments and maintain accurate records of student progress
* Use multimedia resources and practical methods to enhance the learning experience
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum
* Maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment
* Develop and implement innovative teaching methods to engage students
* Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate student progress
* Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development
* Attend staff meetings and contribute to school-wide initiatives
* Develop and implement formative and summative assessments to measure student progress
Eligibility Criteria
* Postgraduate degree in Social Science or related field
* B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree required
* TET or CTET certification preferred
* Minimum 3 years of teaching experience
