Psychological Counsellor Job in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh | School Vacancy — Immediate requirement.
About This Role
S R Global School is inviting qualified professionals for the role of Psychological Counsellor to support student well-being and institutional growth. This is a full-time, non-teaching position designed for individuals with 4 years of relevant experience in school counselling or child psychology. The role involves collaborating closely with school leadership, teachers, and parents to create a nurturing and mentally healthy environment.
Day-to-Day Duties
1. Conduct individual and group counselling sessions for students with emotional, behavioural, or academic challenges.
2. Develop and implement intervention plans in coordination with class teachers and school management.
3. Organise workshops and awareness programs on mental health, stress management, and positive behaviour for students and parents.
4. Maintain confidential student records and prepare periodic reports for the school administration.
5. Assist in crisis intervention and referrals to external mental health professionals when necessary.
6. Work with the leadership team to integrate psychological insights into school policies and student support systems.
7. Provide guidance to teachers on classroom strategies that support students with special needs or behavioural concerns.
8. Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of a child-centric school culture at S R Global School.
Eligibility Criteria
Postgraduate degree in Psychology, Child Psychology, or Counselling Psychology from a recognised university is mandatory. A minimum of 4 years of experience in school-based psychological counselling is required. Candidates must be proficient in using basic computer applications like MS Office and data management tools. Knowledge of local languages including Hindi and English is essential for effective communication with students and families.
