Day-to-Day Duties
As the Head of the Computer Science department at The City Montessori School, your responsibilities will include:
* Designing and implementing the Computer Science curriculum for students from Class VI to XII
* Mentoring junior staff members and providing guidance on teaching methodologies
* Overseeing the development of educational software and apps for the school
* Conducting regular assessments and evaluating student performance in board exams
* Collaborating with other departments to integrate Computer Science with other subjects
* Organizing workshops and training sessions for teachers on emerging technologies
* Maintaining a well-equipped Computer Science laboratory with updated hardware and software
* Developing and implementing a plan for computer literacy among school staff and students
* Liaising with industry experts for internships and project collaborations
* Coordinating with other departments to ensure alignment with the school's academic goals
Required Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must have:
* A post-graduate degree in Computer Science or a related field (M.Sc., MCA, M.Tech)
* A minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in a school setting
* B.Ed or D.El.Ed certification
* Preference will be given to candidates with NET or SET qualifications
* Proven record of academic excellence and achievement in teaching Computer Science
