Role Summary
Skd Academy, Gomti Nagar seeks a senior Dance educator for its TGT program who can lead curriculum design, mentor junior staff, and drive consistent board results. This is a full-time opportunity to shape the Dance department’s vision and elevate student performance across Grades 6 to 10. Key Responsibilities
Own the Dance curriculum for Grades 6–10 at Skd Academy, Gomti Nagar, aligning lessons with CBSE expectations and regional cultural themes. Plan and deliver engaging lessons that build foundational skills, performance confidence, and theoretical understanding.
Design and implement quarterly assessments, analyze results, and use data to refine teaching strategies for improved student outcomes in Dance. Integrate practical training, theory sessions, and performance preparation to prepare students for board examinations.
Mentor 2–3 junior Dance teachers through weekly observations, feedback, and collaborative lesson planning, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Coordinate inter-house and inter-school cultural events to showcase student talent and strengthen the school’s reputation in Lucknow’s academic circuit.
Represent the Dance department in academic forums, parent-teacher meetings, and curriculum review sessions to communicate progress and address concerns. Collaborate with the Arts HOD to integrate cross-disciplinary projects that enrich classroom learning.
Required Qualifications
Post-graduate degree in Dance (M.A./M.Sc) from a recognized Indian university with a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in Dance at the secondary level. B.Ed is mandatory; candidates with M.Ed or prior Arts department leadership will be prioritized.
Preference will be given to applicants who have qualified NET or SET in Performing Arts or Dance Education. Familiarity with CBSE Dance syllabus and Lucknow’s school examination patterns is advantageous.
