We expect our Music Teacher to take ownership of the Music curriculum, leading the development of engaging and effective music lessons that cater to the diverse needs of our students. The ideal candidate will be responsible for shaping the music program, collaborating with colleagues to integrate music into the curriculum, and ensuring that our students develop a lifelong love for music. The Music Teacher will also contribute to the development of our school's music policies and procedures.
Core Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and assess music lessons for students from UK Primary level
- Develop and implement engaging music programs that cater to different learning styles and abilities
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate music into the curriculum across various subjects
- Evaluate student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
- Conduct regular assessments and report on student performance
- Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters creativity and self-expression
- Maintain records of student progress and attendance
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of the school's music program
- Develop and implement music-related extracurricular activities and events
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to promote music education outside the classroom
- Maintain a well-organized and well-equipped music room
What You Bring to the Table
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree from a recognized university
- 2+ years of experience in teaching music to UK Primary students
- Strong knowledge of music theory and pedagogy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents
- Experience in developing and implementing music programs
- Strong organizational and time management skills

Compensation and Benefits
