What You Will Do
Teach vocal and instrumental music aligned with the State Board of Uttar Pradesh curriculum. Organize annual school concerts and inter-house music competitions in Mathura. Prepare students for cultural events at district and state levels.
Conduct regular practice sessions for school choir and instrumental ensembles. Introduce students to regional folk music from Mathura and Uttar Pradesh. Use simple theory exercises to strengthen their understanding of rhythm, melody, and notation.
Assess student progress through practical exams and performance evaluations. Provide individual feedback to help each student improve. Collaborate with other teachers to integrate music into school festivals and assemblies.
Eligibility
You need a post-graduate degree in Music from a recognized university. A B.Ed or M.Ed with Music specialization is preferred. D.El.Ed is acceptable if paired with a Music degree.
TET or CTET is not required. Prior teaching experience of 2 years is mandatory. Familiarity with the State Board syllabus and regional music forms is an advantage.
Skills We Value
Strong vocal and instrumental skills in Hindustani or Carnatic traditions. Ability to teach both classical and light music to young learners.
