Accountant Vacancy in Meerat, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh
BDS International School

Job Description
Accountant Job in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh
School Environment
Bds International School sits in the heart of Meerut where staff rooms buzz with Hindi and English mixing freely and teachers from different backgrounds swap lesson ideas over chai. The culture is practical: quick decisions are valued, parents drop in without appointment, and the principal still knows every child’s name. In this environment you need someone who can speak numbers as fluently as they speak Hindi or English, someone who can explain a late-fee slip to a parent in the corridor and then draft the next month’s fee circular before lunch.
About This Role
We have an Accountant Vacancy in Meerut for a full-time graduate with two years of hands-on accounting experience. This is not a teaching post; it is an administrative leadership role that keeps the school running financially. You will report to the principal, handle cash, fees, vendor payments, and compliance filings, and act as the bridge between the school office and the finance office. You will need to think on your feet when a parent asks why the transport fee changed mid-term or when the government releases a new GST circular at 4 p.m.
What You Will Do
Maintain daily cash and bank entries, reconcile balances by 5 p.m., and submit reports to the principal. Issue fee receipts, generate demand notices, and update fee ledgers within 24 hours of receipt. Process salary disbursements for 80 staff members every month-end without delays. Verify and pay vendor bills for uniforms, books, mid-day meals, and electricity within the approved budget. Prepare monthly GST returns, TDS challans, and PF challans and file them before the due dates. Assist the principal in preparing the annual budget and quarterly financial statements for the management. Handle parent queries on fee discrepancies, transport charges, or refunds with clear written replies. Keep the principal informed of any cash-flow gaps or unexpected expenses so that contingency plans can be made quickly.
Who Can Apply
Any graduate with two years of accounting experience in a school, college, or coaching institute can apply for this Accountant Position in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. Prior experience with Tally, Excel, and GST portal is preferred. Familiarity with Hindi and English is necessary for parent communication and official correspondence. Knowledge of local Meerut market rates for uniforms or catering helps when negotiating with vendors.
Perks and Pay
Salary is no bar for deserving candidates; it is commensurate with experience and market rates in Meerut. Bds International School offers a full-time package including PF, ESI, and annual performance bonus. Leave policy follows Uttar Pradesh government norms with additional local holidays as per Meerut school calendar.
What Sets Us Apart
At Bds International School we keep processes simple and people first. The Accountant Job in Meerut here is not just data entry; it is decision support for the principal. You will see your suggestions reflected in fee structures, vendor contracts, and even the mid-day meal menu. The school trusts its finance team enough to let them approve small vendor payments on the spot, which saves weeks in approval cycles. If you like working where numbers matter but bureaucracy does not, this Accountant Vacancy in Meerut could be the right fit.
