About This Role
Panchwati Schorlar Academy is looking for a Dance Teacher for its vibrant campus in Meerat, Meerut. The role involves leading dance activities, managing performances, and ensuring smooth operations under school administration. Candidates should have experience in dance instruction and school coordination.
Day-to-Day Duties
1. Plan and conduct daily dance sessions for students aged 6 to 16.
2. Organize annual dance events and inter-house competitions at Panchwati Schorlar Academy.
3. Coordinate with the music and arts team for annual school functions.
4. Maintain discipline and punctuality during rehearsals and performances.
5. Prepare students for external competitions and cultural festivals.
6. Keep attendance records and progress reports for each batch.
7. Assist in procuring costumes, props, and music equipment for dance programs.
8. Ensure safety protocols are followed during dance practices.
Required Qualifications
Postgraduate degree in Dance or Performing Arts from a recognized university. Minimum 2 years of experience in a school or academy setting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office for documentation. Familiarity with Indian classical, folk, or contemporary dance forms is essential.
Preferred Skills
Strong communication skills to interact with students, parents, and staff. Ability to choreograph routines for group performances. Knowledge of music editing tools for background scores. Leadership skills to guide junior dance instructors if required.
