About This Role
Bds International School is looking for a PGT Geography Teacher to shape how students from Meerut understand the world around them. In this role, you will lead senior secondary classes with a focus on board exam readiness and practical subject knowledge. Your Students
You will teach Geography to students in Classes 11 and 12 who come from diverse backgrounds across Meerut. Many are preparing for CBSE board exams and competitive tests like UPSC and state-level entrance exams. Your lessons should make physical and human geography relatable, engaging students who are curious about climate change, urbanization, and resource management.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver structured Geography lessons for Classes 11 and 12 aligned with CBSE curriculum and board exam patterns. Use maps, models, and field-based activities to explain concepts like drainage systems, agriculture zones, and industrial regions.
Prepare students for practical exams, project work, and viva components with hands-on learning in cartography and data interpretation. Guide them in creating high-quality project files that meet board evaluation standards.
Conduct regular assessments and mock tests to identify weak areas in students’ understanding of World and Indian Geography. Provide targeted feedback and revision strategies to improve academic performance.
Organize field visits to nearby locations like the Ganga-Yamuna doab or industrial belts around Meerut to reinforce theoretical knowledge with real-world observation.
Mentor students for competitive exams by introducing them to regional geography questions from UPSC and state PSC patterns. Share strategies for solving map-based and data interpretation questions efficiently.
Collaborate with the Social Science department at Bds International School to align Geography content with History and Political Science, ensuring interdisciplinary learning.
Assist in organizing school-level geography quizzes, debates, and exhibitions to showcase student talent and foster a deeper interest in the subject.
Eligibility
Postgraduate degree in Geography (M.A. or M.Sc) with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized university. B.Ed degree is mandatory for this PGT Geography Teacher Vacancy in Meerut.
