PRT Activity Teacher Job in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh
Job Overview
K.l. International School is looking for a PRT Activity Teacher to plan and deliver engaging activity sessions for students in grades 1 to 5. The role focuses on hands-on learning through movement, art, craft, and creative expression. You will work with young learners to build confidence, coordination, and curiosity through structured activity plans.
How You Will Teach
You will conduct daily activity periods using demonstrations, worksheets, and interactive games. Each session will include short theory inputs followed by practical tasks like origami, clay modeling, or storytelling through puppets. You will use low-cost materials available in the classroom to keep activities inclusive and sustainable.
What You Will Do
Prepare weekly activity calendars aligned with monthly themes shared by the primary coordinator.
Set up and maintain activity corners in each PRT classroom with labeled bins and display boards.
Conduct circle time discussions before activities to introduce concepts in simple Hindi and English.
Demonstrate step-by-step instructions while circulating to assist students individually.
Collect and store student work samples in portfolios for parent-teacher meetings.
Organize small group presentations where children showcase their creations to peers.
Collaborate with PRT class teachers to integrate activity outcomes into regular subjects.
Attend weekly activity planning meetings with the primary team to share ideas and resources.
Required Qualifications
Graduate in any discipline with D.El.Ed or B.Ed from a recognized Indian institution.
Minimum 2 years of experience teaching activity-based learning in primary schools.
Preference for candidates familiar with local cultural activities and seasonal festivals.
Skills We Value
Fluency in Hindi and basic English for classroom communication.
Ability to manage a classroom of 30-35 energetic young learners.
Knack for designing low-cost, high-impact activity kits using everyday materials.
Willingness to document student progress through anecdotal records and photo logs.
Salary and Benefits
Rs.20,000 – Rs.30,000 per month on a full-time basis.
Fixed monthly salary paid by the 5th of each month via direct bank transfer.
