Role Summary
Day-to-Day Duties
- Plan and deliver English lessons to students in grades 1-10, using a range of teaching methods and resources.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to help students improve their language skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement the English curriculum, and to improve teaching and learning practices.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of school policies and procedures.
- Supervise students during recess and break times, and maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your teaching skills and knowledge.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress and achievements.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and events, such as literary festivals and debates.
Who Can Apply
To be eligible for this position, you will need to have a post-graduate degree in English or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience. You should also have a strong background in English language and literature, and be familiar with the principles of English language teaching. While a TET/CTET certification is not required, it is highly desirable. We welcome applications from motivated and enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about teaching and learning.
