About This Role
K.l. International School invites qualified professionals for the role of Psychological Counsellor in Meerut. The position requires handling student well-being, parent counselling, and administrative coordination. You will work closely with school leadership to implement mental health programs. Experience in a school setting is preferred for this non-teaching role.
What You Will Do
1. Conduct individual and group counselling sessions for students aged 5-18.
2. Assess students’ emotional and behavioural needs and maintain confidential records.
3. Collaborate with teachers and administrators to address classroom concerns.
4. Organise workshops on stress management, study skills, and career guidance.
5. Provide crisis intervention and referrals to external professionals when needed.
6. Support parents during admission and parent-teacher meetings with guidance.
7. Maintain updated case files and submit periodic reports to school management.
8. Participate in school events such as orientation programs and mental health awareness drives.
9. Contribute to the development of school policies on student welfare and discipline.
Who Can Apply
Must Have
- Graduate degree in Psychology, Counselling, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in psychological counselling or allied roles.
- Knowledge of child and adolescent development.
- Strong communication skills in Hindi and English.
- Basic computer skills for maintaining records.
Good to Have
- Postgraduate qualification in Psychology or Counselling (M.A., M.Sc).
- Experience in a school or educational setting.
- Certification in child psychology or counselling (NET, SET, M.Ed preferred).
- Familiarity with local Meerut school culture and parent expectations.
- Exposure to adolescent mental health issues in North Indian context.
