Job Description
TGT Physics Teacher Job in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh | School Recruitment
About This Role
A senior Physics department role is open at Panchwati Schorlar Academy for an experienced TGT Physics Teacher who can lead from the front. The position carries the scope to shape the department’s direction and mentor a small but growing team of educators. It is ideal for someone who sees teaching as a craft that blends deep subject knowledge with classroom leadership.
What You Will Do
Plan and deliver the full TGT Physics curriculum for grades 6 to 10, ensuring alignment with CBSE guidelines and local board expectations in Meerut. Own the annual academic calendar, unit plans, and assessment calendar for Physics across these grades.
Set quarterly targets for board results in Science and consistently guide the class to scores above Meerut district averages. Conduct weekly problem-solving sessions and weekend doubt-clearing classes for students struggling with Mechanics or Optics.
Mentor two to three junior Physics teachers at Panchwati Schorlar Academy, sharing lesson plans, demo classes, and exam strategies that work in Uttar Pradesh classrooms. Introduce simple low-cost experiments using household items to make abstract concepts tangible for students in Meerat.
Organize the annual Science Exhibition and Physics Olympiad at the school, coordinating with local colleges in Meerut for judge panels. Lead parent-teacher meetings focused on Physics performance and future career options in engineering or pure sciences.
Collaborate with the school leadership to recommend Physics resource purchases, from lab kits to digital subscriptions, within the approved budget. Represent Panchwati Schorlar Academy at district-level Science teachers’ forums and CBSE workshops whenever called upon.
Required Qualifications
Postgraduate degree in Physics with minimum 55% marks from a recognized university. B.Ed or D.El.Ed is mandatory; candidates without either will not be considered.
Minimum two years of full-time teaching experience as a TGT Physics Teacher in a CBSE-affiliated school in Uttar Pradesh. TET or CTET certification is preferred but not compulsory.
Familiarity with UP Board exam patterns and CBSE sample papers for Classes 9 and 10 Physics is essential. Prior experience handling a Physics lab or conducting Olympiad training will be an advantage.
Your Growth Path
The role is designed to fast-track into a Vice-Principal position within three to four years for high performers. Panchwati Schorlar Academy sponsors leadership training programs run by SCERT Uttar Pradesh and local DIET centers.
Attending CBSE capacity-building workshops and presenting papers at state-level Science education conferences will be encouraged. Internal candidates showing consistent academic leadership may be nominated for the Principal’s Development Program in Meerut.
What You Get
The monthly salary ranges from Rs.20,000 to Rs.40,000 based on qualifications and experience. In addition, the school provides subsidized meals, annual health check-ups, and support for further studies in education.
Staff transport is arranged from key points in Meerut and nearby Meerat; conveyance allowance is available for those outside the route. Panchwati Schorlar Academy also reimburses approved expenses for participation in recognized teacher training programs.
