Job Role
TGT Social Science Teacher at Myosys International School, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. The role involves full‑time teaching of Social Science to secondary students, preparing them for board examinations and fostering a holistic understanding of history, geography, civics and economics.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging Social Science lessons in accordance with the CBSE/ICSE curriculum, using a mix of lectures, discussions, projects and field activities.
Create and evaluate worksheets, assignments, quizzes and unit tests, ensuring timely feedback that supports student improvement.
Maintain classroom discipline, promote a positive learning environment and encourage critical thinking and civic awareness among learners.
Participate in parent‑teacher meetings, school events and co‑curricular activities that enhance the social studies experience.
Collaborate with department heads and fellow teachers to align teaching strategies, share resources and contribute to school improvement initiatives.
Professional Expectations
Demonstrate thorough knowledge of Social Science content and current pedagogical practices suitable for grades 6‑10.
Adhere to the school’s academic standards, attendance policies and code of conduct, modelling professionalism for students.
Continuously update subject expertise through self‑study, workshops or professional development programmes.
Uphold ethical standards, maintain accurate records of student progress and comply with all regulatory requirements for school teaching.
Qualifications & Experience
Post‑graduate degree in Social Science or related discipline with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed certification.
Minimum three years of teaching experience in a recognized school setting, preferably handling the full Social Science syllabus.
CTET/TET qualification is desirable but not mandatory.
Salary
Rs.18,000 – Rs.42,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
