- Mentor junior staff members and provide guidance and support to help them develop their teaching skills and subject knowledge.
- Analyze and review board results to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance student performance.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement whole-school initiatives and policies.
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to discussions on curriculum development, school events, and student welfare.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance, using this information to inform teaching and learning strategies.
- Develop and lead extracurricular activities and clubs related to Biology, promoting student engagement and enthusiasm for the subject.
- Liaise with parents and guardians to provide feedback on student progress and address any concerns they may have.
Required Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong academic background in Biology, with a postgraduate degree in the subject. You will also need to hold a B.Ed degree and have a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience. A NET or SET qualification is preferred, but not essential. You will also need to be familiar with the CBSE curriculum and have experience of teaching students from classes 6-12.
