About This Role
Little Angels Public School is inviting applications for a Dance Teacher Position in Muzzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh. This is a full-time, non-teaching administrative and leadership role focused on managing and developing the dance program across all grades. The position requires experience in organizing school-level and inter-school dance events, coordinating with external choreographers, and overseeing the maintenance of dance infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plan, schedule, and conduct weekly dance sessions for students from classes 1 to 12 in Little Angels Public School.
2. Organize annual school functions, annual day, and inter-house dance competitions with full logistical and administrative support.
3. Coordinate with external dance trainers and choreographers for workshops and special performances at Muzzaffarnagar venues.
4. Maintain inventory of dance equipment such as sound systems, costumes, props, and storage areas in proper condition.
5. Prepare annual budget for dance activities and present proposals to the school management for approval.
6. Ensure compliance with safety norms during dance rehearsals and performances, especially during monsoon and winter events.
7. Document student progress in dance skills and maintain records for internal assessment and parent meetings.
8. Collaborate with the arts department to integrate dance with other cultural activities like drama and music.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must be graduates in any discipline from a recognized university. A degree or diploma in Performing Arts, Dance, or Choreography is preferred. Proficiency in basic computer applications like MS Office and internet usage is required for preparing reports and schedules. Familiarity with audio-visual equipment setup is an added advantage.
