What You Will Do
- Plan and deliver Computer Science lessons to students from Class 6 to 10
- Use a range of teaching methods, including lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on activities
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents
- Develop and implement new curriculum materials for Computer Science
- Maintain a well-organized and safe computer lab environment
- Collaborate with other teachers to integrate Computer Science with other subjects
- Develop and implement school policies related to Computer Science education
- Participate in school events and contribute to the development of the school's Computer Science program
- Develop and maintain relationships with parents and the wider community
Required Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. A B.Ed. or D.El.Ed. degree is also required for teaching positions. TET or CTET certification is preferred but not essential.
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g. Python, Java, C++)
- Experience with computer systems, networks, and software applications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with students of different age groups and abilities
- Familiarity with educational software and technology
- Ability to design and develop engaging lesson plans
