Chanakya International School | Prayagraj is seeking a dedicated PGT Botany Teacher to join their faculty in Meja, Prayagraj. Core Duties

Classroom Instruction: Teach post-graduate level botany courses, covering plant taxonomy, physiology, genetics, and environmental botany. Use interactive methods like demonstrations, case studies, and real-world applications to deepen student understanding.
Lab and Field Work: Supervise botany labs, including microscopy, tissue culture, and field observations. Organize and participate in school-sponsored botanical expeditions to Prayagraj’s natural reserves or nearby regions like Vindhyachal.
Assessment and Evaluation: Prepare and administer practical exams, projects, and quizzes to assess students’ comprehension of complex botanical concepts. Provide constructive feedback and track progress using standardized grading systems.
Resource Management: Maintain well-equipped lab facilities and ensure proper stocking of botanical specimens, books, and digital resources. Collaborate with the library to integrate scholarly journals and online databases into teaching.
Student Mentorship: Guide high-achieving students in research projects, internships, or competitions like the National Science Olympiad. Act as a point of contact for students seeking advanced botany-related guidance.
Community Engagement: Participate in school events like science fairs, science week activities, or environmental awareness campaigns. Share botanical knowledge with parents through workshops or parent-teacher meetings.
Qualification and Experience
A B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree is mandatory, with a postgraduate degree in Botany or a related field as a minimum requirement. Candidates with a Master’s in Botany, Zoology, or a life science discipline are preferred. Four years of teaching experience in botany or a science subject at the high school or senior secondary level is essential.
TET/CTET certification is not mandatory but highly recommended. Strong subject knowledge in plant biology, ecology, and environmental science is a must. Experience in designing experiments or leading field studies will be an asset.
Compensation and Location
The selected candidate will receive a monthly salary of Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 50,000, along with standard school perks.
