About This Role
As a PROFESSOR of Anesthesiology at United University, you will play a key role in shaping the Anesthesiology academics and research at the institution, contributing to the growth and development of the department. Your role will be to teach, research, and provide academic leadership in the department, contributing to the academic excellence of the institution. Day-to-Day Duties
- Teach and conduct classes for undergraduate and postgraduate students in Anesthesiology, including theory and practical sessions as per the curriculum.
- Develop and implement the course curriculum for undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Anesthesiology.
- Conduct research in the field of Anesthesiology and publish research papers in peer-reviewed journals.
- Supervise and guide students for their research projects and dissertations.
- Participate in the development and implementation of the academic policies and programs of the department.
- Participate in the departmental meetings and contribute to the decision-making process.
- Develop and maintain relationships with industry and academic partners.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the department's research agenda.
- Participate in the development and implementation of the department's outreach and community engagement activities.
PG Class Profile
As a PROFESSOR of Anesthesiology, you will be responsible for teaching master-level courses in Anesthesiology, including topics such as anesthesia principles, anesthesia techniques, anesthesia equipment, and anesthesia pharmacology. You will also be responsible for guiding students in their research projects and dissertations, and for supervising and mentoring them in their academic and professional growth.
Required Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have a Ph.D. in Anesthesiology with a minimum of 55% marks, and should have a good academic record. In addition, the candidate should have a strong research background and a good track record of research publications in peer-reviewed journals. The candidate should also have a good teaching experience and a good academic leadership record.
Learning and Development
To be eligible for promotion and career advancement, the candidate should have a minimum API score of 3.0 and should have at least 10 publications in peer-reviewed journals. The candidate should also have a good academic record and a good research background.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position will be Rs.60,000 - Rs.90,000 per month, depending on the qualifications and experience of the candidate. In addition, the candidate will be eligible for various allowances as per UGC norms.
