About This Role
The position is a full-time Company Law Professor role at United University in Prayagraj. Day-to-Day Duties
Teaching Company Law to undergraduate and postgraduate students at United University is the core responsibility. Evaluating assignments, exams, and projects while providing constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes is part of daily tasks.
Designing and updating course syllabi in alignment with UGC norms and industry requirements is required. Organizing moot court sessions, guest lectures by legal practitioners, and workshops to bridge theory with practice is expected. Mentoring students on academic and career paths in corporate law is part of the role.
Supervising LLB and LLM students during their dissertation and project work is necessary. Participating in departmental meetings and contributing to policy discussions is expected. Engaging in continuous assessment of student performance and maintaining academic records is part of the duties.
Master Level Teaching
At the master’s level, teaching advanced courses such as Corporate Governance, Insolvency Law, and Mergers & Acquisitions is required. Guiding LLM students in their research dissertations and ensuring timely completion is a key responsibility. Encouraging students to publish their findings in peer-reviewed journals is part of the role.
Facilitating seminars and case-study discussions on contemporary corporate law issues is expected. Collaborating with industry experts for real-world case studies and internship opportunities is encouraged. Reviewing and recommending improvements to the existing master’s level curriculum is necessary.
Who Can Apply
Candidates must hold a PhD in Law with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized university. A valid NET/SLET qualification is required if the PhD is not completed, as per UGC norms. Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in Company Law at a university or college is mandatory.
Publications in peer-reviewed journals related to Company Law are required. Candidates with research experience in corporate governance or commercial law will be preferred. Fluency in English and Hindi, with strong communication skills, is necessary.
