United University invites applications for the position of PROFESSOR - General Surgery in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. This is a full-time role requiring a Ph.D. in General Surgery with six years of teaching experience at the university level. Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will teach undergraduate and postgraduate students in General Surgery at United University. Responsibilities include conducting lectures, clinical postings, ward rounds, and case discussions for MBBS students. For postgraduate students, the role involves supervising surgical training, assisting in operations, and managing academic records.
The candidate will also organize departmental seminars, journal clubs, and CME programs regularly. At the master’s level, the PROFESSOR will guide MD/MS students in their dissertation work and research projects. Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must possess a Ph.D. degree in General Surgery with at least 55% marks from a recognized university. A minimum of six years of teaching experience at the university level is required. Candidates without a Ph.D. must have qualified NET/SLET in Surgery or a related subject as per UGC norms.
Publications in peer-reviewed journals indexed in PubMed or Scopus are mandatory. At least ten research papers as the first or corresponding author in national or international journals are preferred. The candidate should have presented papers at national or international surgical conferences.
