Key Responsibilities
As a PROFESSOR of History, you will be responsible for:
* Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in History, including research methodology and historiography
* Conducting research in your area of specialization and publishing in reputable journals
* Supervising Ph.D. students and guiding them in their research
* Participating in departmental and institutional committees
* Collaborating with colleagues from other departments on interdisciplinary projects
* Developing and implementing curriculum changes
* Mentoring junior faculty members and guiding them in their research
* Engaging in academic administration and contributing to the development of the department
* Participating in university-level committees and representing the department in various forums
Who Can Apply
To be eligible for this position, you should have a Ph.D. in History with a strong research background. Preference will be given to candidates with postdoctoral experience. If you have completed your Ph.D., you should have a UGC-NET with JRF. Candidates with a strong publication record and research experience will be given preference.
