Day-to-Day Duties
Teach advanced courses in Income Tax Law, Tax Planning, and Corporate Taxation at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the Faculty of Commerce at United University. Develop and update syllabi to reflect amendments in the Income Tax Act, recent judicial pronouncements, and emerging trends in global taxation practices.
Lead research initiatives in direct taxation, GST integration, and tax compliance strategies, publishing findings in peer-reviewed journals indexed in Scopus or Web of Science. Supervise doctoral students in Income Tax and related fiscal domains, guiding their thesis work from proposal to final submission.
Organize national seminars, workshops, and guest lectures on Income Tax reforms and policy implications for stakeholders. Collaborate with the Centre for Tax Studies at United University to undertake policy-oriented research for government departments and regulatory agencies.
Engage in consultancy assignments for corporate entities and tax advisory firms to bring practical insights into classroom teaching. Mentor junior faculty members in research methodology and academic writing specific to taxation studies.
Who Can Apply
Candidates must possess a PhD in Commerce, Taxation, Economics, or Law with a specialization in Income Tax from a recognized university. Post-doctoral research experience in fiscal policy or tax administration is highly desirable for applicants applying for the PROFESSOR position.
For those without a PhD, eligibility under UGC norms requires a Master’s degree with UGC-NET/JRF qualification in Commerce or Economics. Minimum of five years of teaching or research experience in Income Tax at the university level is mandatory.
Academic Projects
