What You Will Do

Guide doctoral scholars registered under United University’s Ph.D. programme in Information Security. Supervise theses on emerging topics such as post-quantum algorithms, IoT security, and digital forensics for Indian contexts.
Mentor final-year M.Tech and B.Tech students during capstone projects and internships with organisations like NIC, CERT-In, and local cybersecurity startups.
Organise workshops and hackathons in collaboration with CISOs from Uttar Pradesh’s government departments and private sector. Invite experts from CDAC Pune and IITs for guest lectures.
Develop MOOCs and Swayam courses in Hindi and English to reach learners across the state. Contribute to curriculum design for new specialisations in Cloud Security and Cyber Law.
Participate in university governance by serving on academic councils, board of studies, and doctoral committees. Represent United University at national cybersecurity forums.
Engage with the local startup ecosystem in Prayagraj to translate research into patentable solutions and incubated ventures.
Eligibility Criteria
A Ph.D. in Information Security, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline from a recognised Indian or foreign university is mandatory. Post-doctoral research or industry experience of at least two years is strongly preferred.
Candidates with UGC-NET with JRF or CSIR-NET with JRF will be given preference during selection. A minimum of four years of full-time teaching or research experience in Information Security at the university level is required.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, and Java for security applications is essential. Familiarity with penetration testing tools like Metasploit, Burp Suite, and Wireshark is desirable.
Research & Publications
