About This Role
We are looking for an experienced Professor of Mathematics to join the faculty at United University in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students, guiding research projects, and contributing to the development of the Mathematics department.
Key Responsibilities
1. Teach Mathematics courses to undergraduate and postgraduate students, including lectures, tutorials, and practical classes.
2. Develop and deliver curriculum for Mathematics courses, ensuring alignment with University and UGC norms.
3. Guide students in research projects, including M.Sc. and Ph.D. dissertations.
4. Conduct research in Mathematics, publishing papers in peer-reviewed journals.
5. Supervise teaching assistants and laboratory demonstrators.
6. Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to decision-making processes.
7. Collaborate with other faculty members to develop interdisciplinary courses.
8. Engage with industry and community partners to promote Mathematics education and research.
PG Class Profile
The successful candidate will teach master level courses such as Mathematical Analysis, Linear Algebra, and Differential Equations. They will also guide students in research projects, including projects on Mathematical Modeling, Numerical Analysis, and Computational Mathematics.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this position, the candidate must have a Ph.D. in Mathematics with a minimum of 55% marks. In the absence of a Ph.D., a NET/SLET in Mathematics is required. The candidate should have a strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals and a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience.
Your Growth Path
The University follows the UGC norms for career advancement and promotion. The candidate will be required to achieve an API score of at least 3.0 to be eligible for promotion to Associate Professor. Regular performance evaluations will be conducted to assess the candidate's growth and career advancement.
What You Get
