Mentor Ph.D. scholars in media studies, guiding them through thesis development, data collection, and academic writing. Serve as a member of doctoral committees and conduct thesis evaluations for students across media and communication programs. Required Qualifications
Ph.D. in Journalism and Mass Communication or a closely related field is mandatory for the News Reporting Professor position. Candidates must have a minimum of three years of full-time teaching or research experience in media studies at a recognized university or institution. UGC-NET with JRF qualification is required for candidates without a Ph.D., in line with UGC norms for Assistant Professor roles.
