Job Overview

Develop collaborative research projects with national and international institutions. Secure external funding through agencies like DST, SERB, and BRNS to support advanced laboratory setups and student fellowships.

Organize workshops, seminars, and invited talks by eminent scientists in the field. Engage with industries for applied optics projects and technology transfer initiatives.

Eligibility Criteria

A Ph.D. in Optics, Photonics, or a closely related field is mandatory. Post-doctoral research experience is preferred, especially in reputed national or international laboratories.

UGC-NET with JRF qualification is required if Ph.D. is not completed. A minimum of five years of teaching and research experience at the university level is necessary.

Publications in SCI-indexed journals and active participation in national conferences are expected. Experience in guiding Ph.D. scholars and handling funded projects is desirable.

Academic Projects

United University supports research in fiber optic sensors, laser-based spectroscopy, and metamaterials. Collaborative projects with DRDO, ISRO, and CSIR labs are encouraged.

Funding opportunities exist through UGC-MRP, DST-FIST, and TEQIP grants. The university provides seed funding for new research ideas in applied optics.
