Day-to-Day Duties
As a PROFESSOR in Pediatrics, your primary responsibilities will include:
* Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students in Pediatrics, including lectures, tutorials, and clinical rotations
* Conducting research in pediatric medicine, publishing papers in leading journals, and presenting at national and international conferences
* Supervising Ph.D. students in Pediatrics, guiding them through their research projects and thesis evaluation
* Assisting in curriculum development and academic planning for the Pediatrics program
* Maintaining a strong research program, securing funding from government agencies and private organizations
* Collaborating with faculty members from other departments to develop interdisciplinary research projects
* Participating in departmental and university-wide service activities, such as committee memberships and administrative tasks
* Contributing to the development of the Pediatrics department's research strategy and direction
Required Qualifications
To be considered for the PROFESSOR position in Pediatrics, you must possess:
* A Ph.D. in Pediatrics or a related field from a recognized university
* A strong research background, with a proven track record of publications in leading journals
* Experience in guiding Ph.D. students and thesis evaluation
* UGC-NET or UGC-SLET qualification, with a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) as an added advantage
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in research and academia
