Job Overview
At United University, we are looking for a dynamic and experienced PROFESSOR to join our faculty in the Department of Soft Skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses, guiding research projects, and contributing to the academic and research activities of the university.
Day-to-Day Duties
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Soft Skills to students of United University.
- Develop and implement curriculum for undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Soft Skills.
- Conduct research and publish papers in peer-reviewed journals to contribute to the academic and research activities of the university.
- Guide postgraduate students in their research projects and provide mentorship to help them achieve their academic goals.
- Participate in academic and administrative activities of the university, including committee work and departmental meetings.
- Develop and maintain relationships with industry partners and stakeholders to provide opportunities for students and faculty.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in Soft Skills and incorporate this knowledge into the curriculum and teaching practices.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to develop and implement innovative teaching methods and technologies.
Postgraduate Students
The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding postgraduate students in their research projects, providing mentorship, and helping them achieve their academic goals. The candidate will also be expected to contribute to the development of the postgraduate program in Soft Skills, including curriculum development and program evaluation.
Required Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a Ph.D. in a relevant field with a minimum of 55% marks. The candidate should also have a good NET/SLET score and publications in peer-reviewed journals. The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience and a strong track record of research and publication.
Learning and Development
The university follows the UGC norms for career advancement and promotion. The candidate will be eligible for promotion and career advancement based on the API score, which is calculated based on research, teaching, and service activities. The candidate will also be expected to attend workshops, conferences, and training programs to upgrade their skills and knowledge.
Perks and Pay
The university offers a competitive salary of Rs.80,000 - Rs.120,000 per month, along with allowances as per UGC norms. The university also provides a range of benefits, including medical insurance, leave travel allowance, and research funding.
